History

The Vegemite story began in 1922 when the Fred Walker company in Australia hired a young chemist to develop a spread from brewer's yeast. It first hit Australian shelves on October 25, 1923.

Ingredients: Yeast Extract (from Yeast grown on Barley and Wheat), Salt, Malt Extract (from Barley), Flavour Enhancer (Potassium Chloride), Colour (E 150c), Spice Extract (contains Celery), Niacin, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Folic Acid.
